How to book me for school visits:

I am available by private arrangement. Due to the continued downturn in the economy and the public sector salary cuts and school funding cut-backs, I have reduced my fee by almost 25% to a Recession Buster of €325 per day (fee includes all expenses). There is no deposit necessary, payment in full on the day by school cheque or cash and for this I do up to a max of four shows per day. Invoice supplied on the day. I am now taking bookings for the current and next school terms.

If you have any special requirements, other than a full day, full school visit, like just one show, or talk, or even presentations, or such like, don’t hesitate to contact me with the details, we may be able to work out something suitable depending on what you require and where you are located.

There is an answering machine on all the time 24/7, if I’m not there, please leave a message and I will be back to you as soon as possible. By the way, the voice on the answering machine is that of my daughter Lydia when she was only eight years old. She is now an adult and really putout that it is still in use all these years later.

Poetry Ireland partly fund some school visits by selected writers, artists, storytellers, arts and crafts people and musicians. I am numbered among these. But at the moment you may find these visits are severely restricted by the State funding cut-backs.


How to book me for library visits:

For public libraries I am available by private arrangement. My reduced fee as stated earlier is now €325 per day plus B&B, where appropriate, as libraries are spread out all over the country. Whereas, a very large number of the schools I visit are within fairly easy driving distance of my home in Maynooth. All other expenses are borne by me. There are no hidden extras. No deposit is necessary payment by cheque made out to me Liam Farrell or EFT during the next accounting period is acceptable. Invoice supplied in advance or on the day with bank account details for EFTs. For this I do up to four wolf shows or three talks on writing in the same library on the same day or three wolf shows in different libraries around the county depending on timing and distance.
